Today, Puerto Galera is a major destination for low-budget, fun-loving travelers who seek sun, sand and sea. You may come to enjoy its beaches, which are crowded with hotels, restaurants, discos, and rental services for water activities.
White Beach is a kilometer of white sand beach just after Bayanan Beach, where you can relax and have a good swim in the ocean when it’s a little bit too hot. You have the great view of the sunset in the afternoon. There you will find some souvenir shops where you can buy some items for a reasonable price.
The waters around Puerto Galera teems with exotic and colorful marine life and coral gardens. The variety of species found here outnumber those of the Great Barrier Reef. It is a year-round diving destination in the Philippines for experienced divers as well as beginners. With over 30 dive sites all known for their marvelous marine environment and superb visibility which is only 10-15 minutes away from the dive centers, Puerto Galera truly is a divers’ paradise.
Experience the irresistable rhythm of an island’s drum beat. See the untamed charm of Puerto Galera. The Marco Vincent Resort offers enjoyable, comfortable and worry-free stay because of its premier quality, service and entertainment.
Marco Vincent Villa, the villa by the sea. It is the perfect venue for your family vacations, company team building, small conferences, private parties or for simply communing with nature. Marco Vincent Villa has a swimming pool thats overlooks the waterfront. Take a dip or just relax by the poolside and enjoy the tropical beauty around you. Even your kids will love it.
Another interesting place to go while in Puerto Galera is the Tamaraw Falls. It is very easy to go to, just take a jeepney ride toward San Teodoro town and ask the jeep driver to drop you off at Tamaraw Falls. The falls is just meters away from the road.
And if you are the adventurous type, go jungle trekking through the mountains and see the Mangyan tribes people living in the jungle. And if you are lucky, you might get the rare chance to see the Tamaraw, a wild buffalo in the forest of Mindoro.
Nightlife is superb, even in the usually quiet White Beach. One thing good about getting a party started in Puerto Galera is that you can dance the night away and nobody would care if you just wear your swimming attire on the dance floor, which is literally meters beside the beach.
As Filipinos would say, Puerto Galera as a beach, diving and party destination can be quite “Imeldific!”
